COMMUNICATING THE WORD OF STEWARDSHIP:  "We make a living by what we get; we
make a life by what we give." (Sir Winston Churchill)   First, faithful
stewardship involves giving to God as an act of worship.  We give out of
glad and generous hearts as an expression of love and devotion to the God
who is so good to us.  When we do this, we discover the very essence of
Christianity: a heartfelt relationship with God in which joy and
thanksgiving replace self-interest or guilt.  ~ Giving to God, Mark Allan
Powell

MISSION-OF-THE-MONTH:  The Mission-of-the-Month for February is for Camp
Calumet In Your Lifetime (Capital fundraising) .  Please collect your change
and paper money and bring into church any Sunday in February to deposit into
the CLC 'replica' in the narthex.

MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDY: meets Tuesdays at 4:00PM.  Please join us this Tuesday
for a study of Acts 12.

HANDMADE WOOD ITEMS: John Goodwin has generously donated many of his
handmade wood items to sell.  The proceeds will go to the Missions of the
Church and to the Youth Group New Orleans trip.  See the display in the
Fellowship Hall.  Make checks payable to CLC with 'wood sale' on the
by-line.

PUZZLE PARTY:  Please join us on Sunday, February 19th at 1:00PM for our
annual Puzzle Party with dinner at 5:00PM.  Teams have 4-6 members and each
team brings a side dish and a dessert.  The event is $5 per person.  Bring

Cronenwett if you have questions.
